Let me see the VF piece when you're done? They usually do the title, right? But I think your idea of "the downfall of a far-right blogger" or "racism is alive and well in the right-wing blogosphere" or something headline-grabbing would make it very web-clicky. Using his name Robert Stacy McCain I don't think is a good enough hook to get mainstream readers to look at it -- you have to be a little more sensational in your titles, even ones that you pitch to VF who you know will probably change it.
