Subject: Quick question for Vanity
Fair article
Provost McCarty-
I'm a NYC-based journalist and
author who's writing an article for Vanity
Fair regarding the journalistic practices of The Washington Times, and I wanted to
ask you two quick questions about an incident that occurred at Vanderbilt a
number of years back and which The
Times seems to have gotten somewhat wrong. Please give me a
ring at 512-560-2302 at your convenience if you'd be willing to chat for a
moment; it shouldn't take any more than two minutes. If you could get back to
me today, I'd be extraordinarily grateful.
Incidentally, I have a cousin at
Vanderbilt; he seems to be enjoying himself, though hopefully not too much.
Thanks,
Barrett Brown
