Actually, I've been meaning to tell you about a brand-new publication inTexas launching next month. A liberal (!) guy from Austin who is a big Democratic party donor is backing it and hired away Texas Monthly's longtime editor Evan Smith to run it. Then Evan hired away some of TM's best people and other top journalists from around the state. Don't know much about it yet but will research the contacts for you and get back to you today. It's called the Texas Tribune and is getting big buzz even all around the country:
