I'm still waiting on the Atlantic guy to get back to me about the Martin Peretz article. I'm not going to be able to place timely pieces with an editor of one of the nation's most prominent magazines with whom I haven't developed a relationship yet. Again, just to reiterate - I'm giving True Slant pieces that are too date-driven for me to get put in anything else right now, and I have a good chance of making more money by doing that. I understand that I'm often wrong but you need to realize that I'm right on this one. This is a deal that a lot of very talented writers have taken, and I'm taking it for the same reason they are. I appreciate your concern and ideas, but please really consider my position on this, because it clearly makes sense.

I'm just saying -- maybe you need to be more strategic in figuring out how much money you're trying to make each month, selling your work to the highest bidder.
