Subject: your little group

Thanks for the invite, but you are not going to want me to play in your little group.  While I am an atheist, I believe what you stand for is a lie and very disrespectful.  This nation was founded by religious men.  And even if it wasn’t all you oppose is simple sayings.  These words in no way affect your life in positive or negative ways.  They are after all just words.  Why constantly attacking religious groups and slogans all you are doing is making yourself look like a bigger fool to everyone else.  As well as you are giving a bad name to atheists such as myself that just want to enjoy life and not be attacked for my beliefs.

These sayings can be read and interpreted in many ways.  But again they are just words.  If you are as “Enlightened” as you claim you would see this.  But in fact you are extremely disrespectful to other points of views… which I might add is why they dislike you and your group.  If you want to claim to be enlightened why not stand up for all religions and peoples.  Some peoples beliefs, while potentially misguided, are the only thing that helps them get though their day.

Because there is no book for atheists that would be such as the Bible, Qur’an, or Tanakh we must each find our own path.  The problem with the path you choose is political blindness will not allow you to gain friends.

(You might even consider reading a few…  Know thy self, know thy enemy… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_book)

You may have a strong store and belief that atheists can get behind.  But you are precluding all others… as well as you are killing the chances for respectful atheists from being able to gain political seats.  You and others have directly attacked much that the majority holds dear.  And with these attacks they learn to hate and disrespect you.  If you want a chance to truly get heard, you must be willing to sit back in listen.  Look at the current debate in the town meetings.  Arrogant, ignorant, and disconnected representatives are disrespecting the beliefs of their constituents.  The representatives try to spread their lies and misinformation and when they are confronted with the truth they revert to name calling and finger pointing.

-Good luck with your adventure, while I believe it will be a short journey,
