Tina Brown picked the name "The Daily Beast" from one of her favorite novels, a satire about Fleet Street by Evelyn Waugh.
Maybe you should look through some of your prized Dostoevsky novels or history references or something and find a literary word or term that would be recognizable to the cognoscenti.
(Hey, Cognoscenti is a good word. Also, Literati, Intelligentsia. Combine to create something like Politerati, that's not it, but you know what I mean.)
