HI Barrett,

Thank you for responding to the ad. I am writing to invite you to a meeting that will be taking place at 2pm on March 29th (this Sunday) at a location downtown. Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you—things have been moving at high speed, especially around the school curriculum. I’ll spare you the details, but I’d like to let you know that you are being sent this letter because you were one of the applicants chosen for consideration.

With a curriculum, the website, the blog and a book all in development, a team of people is needed with the kind of enthusiasm you have expressed.  What we really need is an office with dozens of people, even hundreds of people, working together to help people find a way out from this endless struggle in relationships. Ultimately, with continued growth and development, we hope to create a relationship revolution.

That this program has come into a top rated high school in New York City is no small matter and it has generated a tremendous amount of enthusiasm.

Imagine if someone had talked to us in high school about relationships—how different our lives might have been. What if we had a class where we explored:

What is Love?

What is In love?

What is Intimacy?

What is Commitment?

What is Boundaries?

What is Chemistry?

What is accountability?

What is emotionally available?

Wait, What is emotionally mature?

What is truthful, honesty, and transparency?

What is a dysfunctional relationship?

If you can answer that, then what is functional relationship?

I am teaching this very class and developing my company with the hope that this work will spread far and wide because it is so needed.  With a collaborative effort, I believe this can be a reality.

There’s been interest in developing a documentary about the evolution of this work and so we will be shooting some video at the meeting. We’d like to interview you about why the ad struck you and what your interest is. However, only those who give permission will be taped.

My associate Andy, who will also be in attendance at the meeting, has been working in the business side of things and organizing the launch of the blog. Andy works for a major media group and has been doing internet-based marketing for 25 years.

The administrator who brought this work into the school will also be there. He's the liaison between the school and our office and has been instrumental in my contact with the parents, which included a meeting to explain the work. It was held last Thursday and was well-received.

At the moment we are a start-up, and there are limited funds to cover the cost of having everyone clock in on this project, but there are some resources. The business is always growing and we have tremendous potential for the future.

Everyone coming has various skills, such as writing abilities, educational background, administrative skills, psychology degrees, media skills, publishing, and some people have indicated that they've done grant writing. We plan to go to foundations and philanthropies to seek further support, and we think that even in these times of financial constraints, nothing could be more important than supporting fulfilling relationships at a time when people's home lives might be more stressful than usual.

The Relationship Revolution has begun, with no relationship left behind.

Our goal is to change the culture.

I look forward to hearing from you

Michael Jascz

Hi-

I'd like to assist you with your relationship book project. My work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Skeptic, The Huffington Post, National Lampoon, and dozens of other publications, and I've also served as a marketing copywriter for several small businesses. My first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny, was released in 2007 to praise from Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School, Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, and other sources.

I'm looking for a steady project to work on for a few months while I do research for my second book, so I'd very interested in learning a bit more about the gig. I'm fine with $10 an hour to start.

I've attached my resume; please let me know if you'd like to discuss this further.

Thanks,
