new york does have john doe suits, where we could subpeona the person's information.  we would file a john doe suit, and then serve subpeonas through his email or phone number providers (or any other info we can find) to try to get his real information.  if he gave it to them, and they are legit places, they will give it to us.  If he registered with old or false information or uses a prepaid cell, we are out of luck.
