Jackie and Jeff-
I understand that the two of you are handling production for an upcoming sitcom that hinges in part on Dallas culture, and as a comedy writer and native Dallasite, I wanted to check in with you to see if you might be looking for writers.
My work has appeared in dozens of publications including National Lampoon, The Onion A.V. Club, McSweeney's, Cracked, and Skeptic, and my first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny, was released in 2007 to praise from Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School, Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, and other sources. I've also done a little bit of TV work, having served as a contributing writer for the Emmy award-winning News and Views with Hoofy and Boo, which appears on Fox Business Channel and on the web at Yahoo! Finance.
Though I'm currently based in Brooklyn, I grew up in Dallas during its most Dallas-y days (I'm 27), having been born to a crazed real estate maven father who was eventually indicted for fraud or some such and an extraordinarily blond, Junior League mainstay of a mother who often forced me to visit tourist attractions involving swimming pigs. From my understanding of Big D's general plot thus far, this would give me a bit of insight (if that's the correct term, which it isn't) into Dallas culture as a whole.
If you have any interest in discussing this or seeing some samples, please get in touch at your convenience.
Thanks,

CBS has given the pilot order to former That 70's Show executive producers Jackie and Jeff Filgo. (They were head writers at 70's Show and a married couple.)
