Hello SBR reviewers!

Welp, after several wee-hours-of-the-night evenings, we finally sent the February issue to the printer early this morning.  It'll be hitting the Sacramento and San Francisco distribution areas tomorrow.

Ross and I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed reviews for this issue.  We have several new reviewers coming on board for the March issue, which will lend some fresh perspective and voices in upcoming issues.

As you can see by the attached pdf of the issue, this one was all about romance, parenting & families, black history, and the Oscars.  If you were a contributing reviewer, we'll be mailing out a hard copy of the paper to you next week.

Any books you requested to review have either already gone out in the mail or will be going out today/tomorrow.  Please send me an email with titles of books you received and when new ones arrive each time.  We're training a new Office Monkey, and things got a bit messed up this go-round.  I need to know who received what, please.

Also, I know some of you like to jabber on about the book you're reviewing, but I really need your review to keep within the 150-to 200-word limit, unless you've been asked for something longer.  Knowing the approximate length ahead of time allows me to properly lay out the next issue before I even get "real" reviews coming in.  The Feb issue was a nightmare for me because of the huge variances in review lengths!

We have a brand-new website launching this evening that is specific to Sacramento Book Review only.  You'll be able to find that at www.sacramentobookreview.com.  Soon, it will include the book reviews in a database-searchable format.  That's my next project.

Ross and I hope you enjoy the publication!  Time, now, to start on the March issue, which will have an 8- to 12-page Science Fiction & Fantasy insert.  As new books come in, I'll circulate an updated availability list to everyone.

Until then, happy reading!
