Welcome to being a Sacramento Book Review reviewer!
When you write a review for us, I need it to be in the following format, please:
Category (i.e., Science Fiction & Fantasy) -- the category can be found on the listing of books you receive each month)
Catchy Amazon tag line (i.e.,Don't Start Here, And It's Only For Die Hard Fans)
Your Star Rating (1-5 stars)
Book Title
By (author) (i.e., Eric Flint and Virginia DeMarce [capitalize "By"])
Publisher, Price, Page Count (i.e., Baen Books, $26.00, 608 pages (keep these lines together, separated by commas -- spell out "pages")
Encase all book titles with // (i.e., //sTori Telling//) -- except the title in
the heading (I don't italicize those). The slashes (/) are for replacing book titles with italics, once pasted.
You can refer to past issues posted on our website (
www.1776productions.com) for a visual example of how the reviews should be formatted.
Unless otherwise instructed, your reviews should fall between 150-200 words. Reviews are due by the 26th of the month. For example, books you're reviewing for the March issue need to be emailed to me no later than 2/26.
We'll need your mailing address to send the books you choose to review, please. I'm attaching a Freelance Contract, which I'll need signed and snail-mailed back to me.
I'm also attaching our March listing of books up for grabs. Let me know which one or two you'd like to review. Your review will be due to me no later than Feb 26.
