Eric-
I understand that you've recently been put in charge of Esquire's web presence, so I wanted to check in with you to see if you have any assignments to give out or if you might be interested in receiving some queries in the near future.
I'm a full-time freelance writer and author based in Brooklyn, and my work has appeared in dozens of publications including The Onion A.V. Club, Skeptic, National Lampoon, McSweeney's, The Fortean Times (U.K.), and American Atheist. My first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny was released in 2007 to praise from Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School, Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, Cenk Uyger of Air America Radio, and other sources. I also serve as director of communications for GAMPAC, on behalf of which I've appeared on outlets like Fox News. Additionally, I've done all sorts of disparate copywriting work on topics ranging from dining to video games.
I've attached a sample in case you'd like to take a look; please get back to me if you're interested.
