Hi, Michael-
I understand that you represent a number of comedy writers up here in NYC, including several who have done projects for Comedy Central, so I thought I'd check in with you to see if you might consider representing me as well. I'm a Brooklyn-based freelancer, and my work has appeared in McSweeney's, National Lampoon, Jest, The Onion A.V. Club, Skeptic, and dozens of other, lesser publications, and my first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny was released last year to praise from Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School, Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, and Cenk Uyger of Air America Radio, among other sources. I've also done a wee bit of television work as a contract writer for the Emmy-award winning Fox Business Channel animated humor program Hoofy & Boo's News and Views and as an occasional writer for television performer Sati Achath. I was recently made director of communications for the Godless Americans Political Action Committee, which is currently being re-branded with the less threatening name of Englighten the Vote. I'm 27, originally from Dallas, and moved up to NYC about a year and a half ago.
I've pasted and attached a resume, a link to a short piece I did for McSweeney's, another to a piece I did for Jest, and a PDF of a short book review that's appearing next month in Skeptic. Please take a look and let me know if you might be interested in talking with me.
