Howdy-
If you're talking about the Enlighten the Vote blog, it's still a work in progress; we were the Godless Americans Political until two weeks ago and are in the process of relaunching. You should see the e-mails we get. As for Palin, she's the best thing that ever happened to America insomuch as one could point to her and be like, "Yeah, that's the GOP now."
I produced an ebook before the war called 100 Poets Against The War. We shunted about a quarter of a million copies, but the main pleasure was the emails – they were hilariously obnoxious. If I was feeling particularly skittish, I wrote back correcting the grammar. Being described by Kristol as ill-mannered was one of the highlights of my life.
I'd be particularly interested in reviewing books that are clearly going to be terrible, particularly if they involve politics or theology. My interests tend to involve history, pseudohistory, conspiracy theories, psychedelic drugs, fringe theories in general but particularly those having to do with metaphysics such as this whole 2012 movement. Even though I'm allegedly some ultra-materialist skeptic, I actually ascribe to several bizarre hypotheses and have polite interest in others, and at any rate my ultimate goal is to make fun of things. So if anything stupid is coming out, I'm your guy.
Perfect!! The 2012 movement can only become a more fertile source of humour over the next few years. It’s already shaping up pretty well.
Best,
Val
