Makes sense. I was just checking to see if we had or were seeking any formal connection to them, since it's sort of an umbrella group that might be useful to us, but if they're working on traditionally leftist issues, I can see why we wouldn't want to be connected to them since we're non-partisan.

The SCA lobbies.  They go outside the Establishment Clause issues that we stick to.  They lobby on "other" liberal social issues.  While most Atheists, Humanists and other non-religious Americans are liberals, many do not agree with us on liberal social issues.  When I was with American Atheists I stayed away from anything not concerned with Establishment Clause issues so that I could include as many of us as possible.
    Relationship?  I'm not sure what that means in this case.
