Hi, Eliot-

Thanks for getting back to me. I understand that growing a business can be time-consuming, and I appreciate your offer to provide consultation and may perhaps take you up on that at some point. In the meanwhile, if you happen to see anything of interest in your region - namely, bad legislation of the sort that might violate the Enlightenment Clause - do let me know.

Thanks again,

Barrett Brown

Barrett,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond until now. The entrepreneur game is often quite taxing, so I've been working long hours this week with nary the opportunity to sleep. One unfortunate result is that I've allowed some things to drop beneath my threshold for action, one of which being a timely response to you. So again, mea culpa.

Regarding my involvement with your PAC, I'm afraid the best I can do currently is to be a cheerleader from the sidelines. I'm in the process of growing my small business and am heavily focused on bringing in new clients right presently. That said, I have the capacity within the context of my business to provide our services should they be useful. What's more, I'm willing to give my time over the phone to provide consultation regarding those things around which I have some knowledge—I'm not certain I can tell you anything you don't already know, but willing to try nonetheless. Outside of my willingness to share knowledge, however, I just don't have the capacity for any gratis work at the moment.

Please don't hesitate to call or email if you'd like to take me up on any of the above.

Cheers,

Eliot Frick

Eliot-

Thanks for getting in touch; glad you enjoyed my little sparring sessions over at Protein Wisdom. Jeff is a nice guy when he's not libeling half the country with his incompetent attempts at rhetoric.

I've heard much about Robert Anton Wilson, but have yet to read him. I'm glad you reminded me to do so; the Illuminata! trilogy certainly sounds unique, and I've got an unusually strong taste for the esoteric, having been raised in something of a New Age household.

I also appreciate your offer of assistance, and I'd like to take you up on it. I was recently named as director of communications for Enlighten the Vote, which is the second incarnation of the Godless Americans Political Action Committee and has been renamed largely in an effort to appear less antagonistic. It's run by former American Atheists president Ellen Johnson, who took on the mantle after the murder of the O'Hairs in 1995. The PAC now concerns itself exclusively with the restoration of the Establishment Clause in public life, and thus we raise money for candidates of whose Constitutional tastes we approve, advise them on strategy and tactics alike, and also do rhetorical battle with the nation's theocrats via press releases, media showdowns, and other such facts of modern life. I've recruited some good talent to handle video production, benefit events, and other such things, but could always use more. Additionally, we need clever people on the ground in various locales, and you clearly fit the bill; would you like to be our point man down there? I can even give you a title as if I were some sort of 17th century something-or-other of the nobility.

Get back to me at your convenience.

Thanks,
