Vince Garofalo was the only person I ever heard Laura Painter (our editorial contact) speak about when she had to get something done with Evote/Ideacast. Not only did I meet him face-to-face at the Republican convention in New York in 2004, where he took some photos that were posted on the Evote.com site, but he also made the decision to pay me more per-word for going to both conventions, according to Laura.
For him to argue he was not directly involved contradicts everything I know. There may have been others who invested in Ideacast, but Vince was the only name I knew through his contacts with Laura. Where Laura is and what she's doing, I don't know; she probably got left holding the bag on some money, also, though my sympathy for her is limited.

Ryan, Vincent Garofalo has responded to the letter I sent on Barrett's behalf and while he seems open to the idea of a settlement, he denies any real association with Ideacast and Evote and instead maintains that one of his companies was merely an investor in Ideacast. Please let me know of any evidence you may be aware of that would contradict his claim as it would definitely result in a higher settlement for all parties involved. Great news! I would certainly be willing to discuss a settlement. Let's see what the offer will be - of course, for leverage in a case like this, we can always start with salary due plus interest, and negotiate down from that higher number.
