My name is Barrett Brown, and I serve as director of communications for a political action committee called Enlighten the Vote (previously known as GAMPAC; we're relaunching later this month), the purpose of which is to support candidates and officeholders who pledge to uphold the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and which itself is led by longtime secular activist and former American Atheists president Ellen Johnson. I'm writing to inquire about how one might go about booking your venue for a benefit concert, which I would like to hold on either December 5th or 6th if possible. We have some great musicians who have already agreed to play (including a Swedish musician by the name of Jonathan Acosta who was the one who told me about your venue) and would be able to promote the event fairly easily by way of our mailing lists, among other things.

I'll be in Africa from the 7th to the 17th, but should have sporadic e-mail access for the duration. I actually live right off the Morgan stop on the L and would love to come by and check out the venue.
