Yep indeed; get back to me with general details/preferences/whatever
and I'll plan to write it up tomorrow. Everything going well out in
Chicago? Your city keeps getting badmouthed by the McCain campaign
lately.

Do you want an article about your company or an article you write
yourselves about the industry? Either way, we'll have to identify a
couple of trade pubs that cover architecture, 3d, animation, visual
effects, etc.. Then, if you need me to write it, I can prepare a short
query e-mail to send to those pubs to see if they're interested or
would like a certain angle. If you'd like to write it, we'll do
something similar but have the query letter come from you, and, again,
ask about angles, but it would be best in this case if we have an
angle of your own to propose - as in, how to cater to large clients in
this industry with a very small company, some new or interesting 3d
technique you use, etc.

Ok, so that is 1 idea where to go next....
What are the odds you can help us get into print? With some articles we
write about what? Do we need to make a list to send to people?

That shouldn't be difficult; it's simply a matter of emphasizing your
consultancy credentials in your marketing copy and sales letters, as
well as prominently listing on your website those firms to which
you've provided those kinds of services.

Story / article / video / marketing idea. Here is a brief explanation:
In the last week I have done 15 mins of consulting saving / resurrecting
more than 2 days of work at 2 different offices. My architect friend
pointed out last night that the architecture firm will pay $$$ to have a
"code consultant" on retainer (or other such consultants - mechanical,
engineering, etc) for similar situations but they still don't value 3d
services.
This has long been our argument at studio2a - that we obviously have the
experience and resources necessary to do good work fast - but the old
stodgy
architects still don't get it. How can we sell the value of our
experience
as "consultants"?
Thanks,
