By the way, I had to take out a bunch of money to pay Josh for rent
and I think my monthly Children's International contribution is coming
up in a couple of days; I'll have more money from dad soon for this
gig, but could you put like $40 in my account just so that's covered?

Clearly, our meeting is the work of the Lord!
You'd definitely be a lot of help, particularly seeing as you can
write. I'm in the middle of something but will get back to you at
length later today or tomorrow.
Thanks,
Barrett

Hi, Gina-
Thanks for the tip and compliment; I just assumed she'd made a typo,
as I've never heard of this "tmail" business.
Ah! I have no clue what the "t" is for either. Regardless, I know way
WAY
more about this woman's life than I am comfortable knowing!
Have any interest in getting involved with the PAC? It's called
Enlighten the Vote, formerly known as GAMPAC, and it's led by former
American Atheists president Ellen Johnson. The new website isn't up
yet, but if you'd like a bit of info, you can check out this little
Facebook group I've set up in the meantime. We could always use a
regional representative in Albany; it wouldn't involve any regular
work per se, but we need eyes and ears on the ground outside of this
here secularist enclave...
Funny you should mention this, but yes, I would be interested in getting
more active on the god-free front. I also have a pretty solid Albany
connection to the Legislature - my dear husband is the counsel for Ways
&
Means Chair, Denny Farrell (please don't hold it against him ;-)). We
moved
up from Brooklyn back in '98 when he got his first "Just Passed the Bar,
Now
I Need a Job" position in the Assembly on a different commission.
So, following legislation, and hearing stuff first hand, yeah, I might
be
able to help out. I can also help with the "how-to" as far as
navigating
the system up here - it's basically like Versailles without the fashion
sense. There's a rhyme and not much reason :-)
I'm a stay-at-home mom, and I homeschool the kids, it makes for a laff
riot
interacting with the conservative Christian homeschoolers. I have a
badly-maintained attempt at a blog that will give you a sense of what
the
heck I'm thinking: http://www.modschooler.com
