Howdy-

I'm boning up on the various Supreme Court decisions and all that good
stuff, and have a question for you:

What is our position on school vouchers, assuming such vouchers are
used for private schools of both secular and religious orientation
without undue emphasis on either?

I'll probably have more questions for you in the coming week.

Thanks,

Religious schools are "extensions" of churches.  This is what the pope says (I forget which Pope).  We oppose tax money to religious schools.  Religious schools do not have to accept all students.   They do not have to abide by health and safety standards.  They do not file form 990 and report to anyone what they do with the money. They can discriminate.  THEY have the choice, not the parents.
If a parent wants to give their child a religious education then they can pay for it.

Choice in public schools is not an Establishment Clause issue.

Hope this helps.
