He apparently was Jewish then converted to Evangelical Christian (the father, Marvin). But the family also adopted a black child after this oldest boy was born, so I get mixed messages about them? Apparently they recently moved to NYC where he is teaching at King's College, which I gather is of the Evangelical persuasion as well.

I may have mentioned that Caleb found the guy to be so hilarious in terms of moniker and sheer physical terribleness that he used the name
MarvinOlasky99@aol.com as his e-mail address for four or five years, and would name all of his video game characters Marvin Olasky.
