Thank you for your consideration.
First and foremost, I can efficiently tailor my skills to
suit your needs; whenever I have an assignment it just directs my creativity.
To whom it may concern:
Modestly speaking, I'm a gifted
writer-- I've won over 8 awards for poetry and creative writing. I can write
most-anything, also generally everything I write comes out well-written. I love
perfecting the art of writing; it's my trade. Recently, I've decided to create
and maintain a bi-monthly blog entitled Jpinions. I created Jpinions
for no other purpose then to give me another creative outlet as I desire to
write feverishly in as many aspects of life as I can muster; also, Jpinions
is aimed to provoke thought since so many people neglect to think for extended
periods of time, as described in JpinDaily.
-I do not run out of creative matter and I work hard to
achieve efficient perfection in all of my endeavors. This will become evident
immediately as I use those same skills to effectively complete your
assignments.
Briefly, in late 2006, I was a
featured writer at a writer's conference in Hollywood, CA. Writers flew to LAX
from around the world and I was an honoree. The writers there told me that I
was an exceptionally profound writer. So although I am just a student and
merely 21 years old, these 30-something year-old writers settling into the
establishment of their careers highly suggested to me (when I was 19), that I
pursue my writing career to the fullest of my ability and to lose my modesty. I
stay humble. They exclaimed that when I become their age, I will have already
established myself as a prolific entity and they detailed that I was exactly
what publishers were looking for right now.
Well, right now all of my books are
incomplete as I believe they should be. Although I will be a great novelist
someday, I am not yet. I do love to write though, words come so easily to me
it's just amazing. When I was a boy, after school, I read the dictionary in
solitude at my house for fun; I attribute my discipline and writing skills to
things such as that (and personal strength traits covered in Jpinions).
-I've written so many different articles and essays and
philosophical statements and short stories and poetry and SEO copywriting and
website rewrites and landing-page rewrites and even more, that I believe my
skills can easily adapt to suit your tastes. I'll write for you until I am blue
in the face and I'll unleash all of the creativity that I can summon for your
projects. I love to write and I love writing assignments; I need to write and I
need a job. Please give me favorable consideration for your writing position
and I assure you that you will not regret it. Thank you.
Respectfully,
JlB

A brief note regarding fees:
Fees
should be discussed on a case-by-case basis; I’m negotiable. *PayPal is
almost the only way that I’ll accept payment these days. I’m sorry
for the inconvenience, but there are too many people who are not trustworthy.
It takes too much time to sift through potential clients/employers to determine
whose check will actually come in the mail. I cannot decipher that efficiently.
I say to you, consider PayPal as your preferred method of pay. PayPal is
instant, free and it facilitates the trust in our working-relationship. Trust
provides the groundwork for lasting partnerships as well.
Also, we may soon be discussing the details of our first assignment together.
You should be considering a retainer to show your commitment to the endeavor.
Don’t worry, I’ll show you my dedication too. I aim for us to have
a mutually beneficial venture. Retainers are crucial for instilling the trust
that is required for our relationship to thrive.
The (frequently) required retainer should be at least 1/3rd of the
estimated fee for the assignment, but usually about half of it. The retainer
should be paid as soon as you (the client) has satisfactory proof that your
assignment is (or will be) achieving completion. A retainer is to help prevent
the aforementioned occurrence. Also, in the future, by keeping your account
updated you will help to keep things running smoothly. I have major
difficulties working with people who put forth little to no effort to achieve
trust in our working relationship. The opportunity-cost outweighs the
opportunity-benefit and oftentimes I have to pass on potential offers no matter
how tempting they are.
I
have an approximate schedule of fees for your reference; if you’d like a
copy of it, please send a request.
Thank you for taking the time to
consider me, I’ve available to answer all of your questions.
Best regards,
JlB
*If you intend to
pay with a check (in order to prevent the formerly too-common theft of my time,
work and money), I’ll need a couple of references or something similar to
that.

The Big Art Project,
(England)
By JlB
The Big Art Project was started in 2006, by Channel 4 of
England, as an ambitious endeavor to allow the public to influence the
commissioning of immense public works of art. It also was a movement, backed by
the Arts Council England, to generate new art in England (with public
involvement). Courtesy of an invitation by youth of the city of Burnley, the
artist's group known as Greyworld accepted an offer to collaborate with 15 of
the city's youth. Together, Greyworld and the15 youngsters turned the city of
Burnley into a living-canvas, the only one of its kind on Earth. This is the
first of 7 public works of art to be featured in England in 2008 as a result of
The Big Art Project.
Greyworld is a group of London artists who have created many
large and permanent art fixtures in Europe. Their style is as unconventional as
it is incredible. One of their artistic installations took the shape of a
light-blue carpet attached to the Millennium Bridge in Dublin, Ireland. The
blue pathway is embedded with a multitude of sensors that translates every
person's walking into the curiously vivid sounds. As you traverse the bridge,
sounds of autumn leaves crushing beneath your feet toy with your reality.
Perhaps a few moments later the sound of sloshing through water will emanate,
or trekking through snow.
Greyworld was provoked to produce "Invisible" for
this project, which was unveiled March 14, 2008, and is a series of phantom
images in 19 locations throughout the city of Burnley in Lancashire, England.
The images are made of light and reflected throughout the city at various times
throughout the night and day. They vary from being painting-style and sized to
being house-sized. In the same manner that this entire endeavor will
unknowingly transform the citizens of Burnley into wandering art connoisseurs,
the world will soon see Burnley as an artistic creation worth wandering into,
as well.
The zeal at which the youth of Burnley administered this
project shows what a sense of belonging can do for a community. The world can
also learn from this revolutionary new art proposal system where local people
dictate, commission and generate art for their communities. Afterwards, the art
of each community would be a direct representation of that community's
personality through choice, and would correlate to the quality of life and
respect that even visitors have for those respective communities.
More art will be showcased as part of The Big Art Project in
the England cities of Cardigan, Mull, Newham, North Belfast, Sheffield and St. Helens.
All of the projects have projected completion dates within 2008. The Big Art
Project, inspired by Channel 4, has joined local communities with artist for
the artistic development of the populous. The result is a fervent uprising in
art for England and the world.

What is art?
By JlB
Art, to me, is the appreciation of anything set-aside from
reality. Dictionary.com defines art as being something that is appealing or
more than ordinary in significance. Art is the story of a culture. Whether the
art topic is Michelangelo's David or Colors by Joe Shmoe, it all symbolizes one
thing and that's the extent of human ability. Art could be considered magical
sometimes; as it resides in your subconscious and awakens from time to time
giving, only humans, a sudden urge to create astoundingly, beautiful, works of
art. Art is the search, appreciation and compliment to the question, "What
is Art?" Art is intangible and it translates into all languages. Art is my
appreciation of the greening brown leaves on the trees outside. Commonly art
could be defined, but this is only specifically; as I can designate it in daily
life. "That is art." Generally, however, art is undefined; art is,
most importantly, an idea.
From toxic swirling gases on an uninhabitable infantile
earth to pictographs etched into caveman walls, prehistory is all of time before
writing. With the creation of art, humans also developed the ability to speak,
thusly evolving from the dumb-fog of animality. We developed the ability to
think and create. This is the significance of art; it's indicative of the
growth of the human-brain. The ability to conceive your own creation without
seeing it first and then creating it is half of the generation of art; the
appreciation of that creation is the other half. Language Arts is art in its
most basic form; primitively it was made of pictograms or pictures representing
words, and even this defines art in itself. However art is a true
shape-shifter, as it can take numerous forms.
Art is a man sitting beneath a tree, alone in a prairie,
witnessing a rainbow and comprehending its beauty. Art is a woman on a phone,
in a busy New York train station, getting bumped and brushed past, while a
painter paints from above in marvelous colors. It's the writer when he observes
all of this as he walks by and documents its significance. None of this, however,
can truly be considered art until the girl on the phone stops for a second as
she reaches the top of the stairs and gazes at the painting momentarily; not
until she stops for a second to admire the beauty, or understand the reasoning
behind it, or attempt to understand it, or live it for a second, is art
actually art. Art can, however, be hidden forever and still be art too; this is
the power of art.
Art is made by artists. Artists are adept at their craft or
they are modest in skill. The only criteria for artists are that he or she
makes art. Some artists are, indeed, better than others. No artist, however,
can refute another artist's name as such or would they attempt to, because art
is a coming together of spirits. It's the bringing together of people. It's the
dive into intellectualism; it's the foundation for our lives. Art is the
backbone for everything and everything can be considered art. It is not vague
but it is obscure. Art is up to you to define. Simply put, ultimately art is a
cloud of creativity that encases the earth and gives us the ability to feel any
emotion we are capable of by allowing ourselves to be submerged by an alternate
reality which is stress-free, and can be left as quickly as turning your head,
to me at least.

Writing Sample I
In cartoons the main character often has a robot or
robot-like device that has all of the information of the world readily
accessible. People have been waiting for our robot to materialize for years and
now they can finally take a sigh of relief. It's not quite a robot, but it
easily manages all of the information of the world right in the palm of your
hand. Let's take a new-look at the 3 year-old device. The Nintendo DS-lite is
raising eyebrows and forcing double-takes around the world, but why?
Gamers like it because of its simple gameplay, touch screen
and WIFI capabilities. Now tech-gurus all over the world are buying mod-chips
for their DS and turning Nintendo's portable game-playing device into a movie
player, a music player, a web-browser, a camera, a free worldwide phone, a chat
system, a dictionary, a language conversion tool and anything else you can
probably imagine. This new mini-laptop is really kicking-up dust and has some
critics saying, "Why purchase an Iphone when Apple isn't doing half of
what Nintendo is capable of." (Plus a DS doesn't have a monthly bill!) It
doesn't take an economist to see the changes taking place in the gaming
industry. This new revolution doesn't come without some drawbacks though.
Although you can modify your DS to make your own games and
programs, the real fantastic perk of the mod-chip isn't just its drag and drop
capabilities, but now you never have to purchase another DS game again. Gamers,
like music-lovers, are now jumping on the bandwagon of corporate theft. Simply
boot-up your computer and type in a few keywords in a search-engine and
instantly you have direct access to all of Nintendo's games. What's more, so
far Nintendo has done the opposite of what the music industry did, instead of
combating the change in procedure, Nintendo has embraced it, creating a whole
new site specifically designed for the download of homebrew applications for
you DS. Nice.
The DS is easy to use, occasionally hard to find and
relatively inexpensive. At $129.99 you could pick one up at any store that you
can probably buy a CD from or easily online. The mod-chip varies in price and
can only be found online. The R4 is $80.00 and the M3 is $40.00, you can find
these for $20.00 cheaper if you're internet savvy. Get it in the mail, drag
your files onto an SD card and you're good to go. See you online.
