Brian,

On behalf of the group, I thank you. As long as we consent to being
treated as desperate, starving writers who will sign anything and work
through the night, no matter if the pay works out to less than minimum
wage (if there is any pay to be had at all), those who ultimately
depend on our content will continue to treat us that way.

Kyle,
Let me get this straight. You want highly talented writers (otherwise, why
would you contact us) to blindly sign a non-disclosure agreement that leaves
us, as independent contractors, liable for any content-related liability
that could negatively impact your firm. Oh . . . and contractual basics like
fees, terms, obligations between parties, and who owes what to whom can wait
until the online signatures of 100 writers show up in your email box.
Wow . . . where do I sign up for that!
Sorry, Kyle, freelance writers deserve better disclosure from you. If you
want cheap content on the sly, that's up to you. But it's disappointing that
you would treat a group of professional writers with less respect than you
would your dentist, your doctor, or your psychologist.
Remember . . . we're professionals, too.
Cordially,
Brian O'Connell
