Greeting, and welcome to The Lancasterist. This blog is dedicated to the concept that I, Barrett Lancaster Brown, oldest male heir to the majestic House Lancaster and at least one oil fortune, ought to be granted more political power than I currently have, which is currently none. Specifically, I am requesting that the people of the United States make me First Consul for a period of no less than five years, during which time I shall rearrange the budget somewhat, reform the judicial system by way of the Code Lancasterist, and settle some personal scores against people who owe me money as well as people to whom money is currently owed by me, Barrett Lancaster Brown.

Incidentally, I am not joking. But because the American people don't seem to be in much of a hurry to grant me the power that is most properly mine by birthright as well by virtue of my eloquence, I will meanwhile occupy myself by writing humorous essays on the subject of politics. More specifically, I will engage in rhetorical attacks on those who have the power and influence that I seek, and though these essays will clearly be motivated in large part by jealousy, I can assure you, the Reader, that they will also be motivated by self-regard,comma fetishism, and social bloodlust.
