Hello Freelancers:

 

NobleWorks is gearing up for its Spring line of Talk Bubbles cards and we'd like to invite you to submit your ideas. For those of you writing for NobleWorks Cards for the first time, the way it works is that you write captions for images that we've selected. If your submissions get picked, we'll pay $150 for each one that gets published as a card.

 

Attached is a PDF containing 25 retro images that have been selected for Spring occasions: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation. Many of these images have been scanned from old ads in Life Magazines, so please ignore any ad copy or product placement in the images. That will all be cropped out if we publish it as a card.

 

When it comes to writing captions, short and snappy is always better. And of course, for the Mother's Day and Father's Day cards, stay away from sex jokes. That's just plain creepy. To get a better feel for the type of humor in our Talk Bubbles line of cards, visit www.nobleworkscards.com.

 

Please write your submissions in an email or Word document, numbering your entries to correspond with the numbers of the images on the PDF. No need to write captions for every single image, just the ones where you have something funny to offer. Please do not submit more than three ideas for any one image. Also, one formatting request: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME IN PARENTHESES AFTER EACH ENTRY. This helps me combine everyone's submissions at the end and keep them straight when we make our editorial decisions. And when you submit, please include your full name, address, and phone number in your email so we can pay you if your entries are selected.

 

The deadline for submission is next Thursday, May 1st, at 3 pm (EST). Good luck!
