I understand that your advertising firm is seeking a body copy writer to work on projects for Democratic causes through November, and I'd like to be considered. I'm a writer with both in-house and freelance ad agency experience, and my other work has appeared in dozens of publications including progressive policy journals such as Alternet and Toward Freedom as well as humor magazines like National Lampoon, The Onion, and McSweeney's. My first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny, was released last March to praise from Alan Dershowitz, Cenk Uygur of Air America Radio, The Huffington Post, Skeptic, and other sources. Most recently, I served as chief blogger of Politicalbase.com, CNET's recently-launched political media portal.

I generally work for $20/hour.
