I understand that your online brokerage firm is seeking a copywriter to handle some web copy and other marketing collateral, and I'd like to be considered. I've served as an advertising copywriter for a couple of different firms as well as on a direct freelance basis for a number of other companies, and my other work has appeared in dozens of publications including National Lampoon, The Onion A.V. Club, McSweeney's, and Hustler. More recently, I served as a contributing writer for News and View with Hoofy and Boo, a humorous animated business program produced by Minyanville and which appears on the Fox Business Channel and Yahoo Financial. I'm also the author of Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny, which was released last March to praise from Alan Dershowitz, Air America Radio, The Huffington Post, and other sources. And because my dad was a broker, I spent a good portion of my childhood summers hanging around the L.A. office of Bear Sterns back in the day before Bear Sterns was a punchline.
