Yo yo-

I don't know much about Greenpoint, but Josh does; you might give him a call and ask him about that, plus some of the other neighborhoods, as he runs around those parts of Brooklyn more than I do. But Williamsburg is a very youth-oriented area and right across the river from Manhattan; if you're off the Lorimer or Bedford stops on the L train, you'll be literally five or six minutes from Union Square in Lower Manhattan via subway, and from Union Square you can get to Midtown in fifteen minutes or so via the six train.

p.s. what brooklyn neighborhoods should i look at?  one of my friends lives in and recommended greenpoint.  i know nothing about brooklyn.  i just want to be surrounded by young people and be as close as i can to manhattan to cut down on commuting time (i'm an impatient kinda girl).  i need your expert advice.
