   Hey all -

We just launched out our latest code update. The site now includes...

     * An up to the minute AP News feed that pulls in stories and images
       into the site.
     * Polling data that updates on its own.
     * Forum Search
     * Some design updates across the board, with Group-attached money
data showing up in more spots.

Most of this stuff runs on its own and you shouldn't have to worry
about anything, but heres some instructions in case something goes
   wrong.

If an AP story's image has the wrong person's name under it

Click the staff tools link near the title and either search and attach
the appropriate person, or if they are already included, just click
the "Set 1st" link to make them the prominent attachment to the story.
This will reset the caption and the various modules on the page to
   that person.

If an AP story is important*

Click the same staff tools section and click "Set important". The
story will now show up on the homepage with an image and bigger font.
Make sure you only do this to stories that have an image attached to
them. I'd recommend only setting two stories as important at any one
   time for aesthetic reasons.

If a poll is showing incorrect information

Let Coonce or I know. We'll look into the scrape and make sure
   something weird isn't going on.

When adding videos to blog posts

Because of the smaller size of the blog area on the homepage please be
careful when attaching large images or videos. In general if you are
adding a youtube video, do not also use the "staff links" area as
that, in combination with the width of the video, can potentially
break the layout of the page.

Comments on AP news stories now automatically create forum posts

Also note that when you comment on an AP news story, that comment will
automatically create a forum post with your comment at the same time.
In general, this is a great way to get topics started without having
to type in a bunch of text, especially because the AP News, while
bland, is going to at least be topical for that day.
