No other political strategist in the history of our nation has come close to achieving the sort of legendary status that Karl Rove has long taken for granted. Over the course of a career that has spanned nearly four decades, the advisor has masterminded the successful election campaigns of Missouri Senator John Ashcroft, Texas Governor Bill Clements, Texas Senator John Cornyn, Texas Governor Rick Perry, and Texas Senator Phil Graham, among others. His most notable client, of course, has sat in the Oval Office for seven years, several of which marked the only time in recent memory that a Republican president has served alongside a Republican House and a Republican Senate, with this unusual state of affairs also having been the result of Rove's handiwork.

In his capacity as keynote speaker for our presidential election program, the man who knows Bush best will be lending us his insight into the annals modern American political history in order to shed light on what awaits us in 2008.
