The editors we have today are currently running at a pace of one every ten minutes.  With breaks that’s approximately 5 an hour.  Your writing is so good I’m trying to appeal to you to give it a try.  We can pay $20 an hour if you can achieve somewhere in the range of 4 per hour.  If not then I’m sure you don’t have trouble getting other freelance work with your talent.

I know, but if you've been paying $3 per write-up, you probably wouldn't be interested in paying me my minimum hourly rate, which is $20, and I doubt that I could research and write more than two of these an hour.

I was asking you what you think is a fair hourly rate for this project.

Thanks, but I don't think I'll be able to fit this into my schedule at that rate, but I appreciate you considering me.

Thanks again,

Barrett Brown

Hi Barrett,

We've been paying $3 per review but given the research and writing time these have taken the effective hourly rate is low.  I'd like to try an hourly rate where you would be on the honor system when submitting your hours.  What do you think a fair hourly rate for this is?

Thanks,

Brad

Hi, Brad-

Okay, I'll try to get to this today. If my samples are to your liking, how much will you be paying for each review thereafter?

Thanks,

Barrett Brown

Good morning Barrett,

Here are 3 subjects I would like you to write sample reviews for:

<http://poseidon.bigredwire.com:8080/lb/search.jsf> Richard Wallace
Brunette Jr

<http://poseidon.bigredwire.com:8080/lb/searchResults.jsf > Bruce Scott
Bennett

< http://poseidon.bigredwire.com:8080/lb/searchResults.jsf> Mark Shinderman

To post your reviews go to
http://poseidon.bigredwire.com:8080/lb/login.jsf;jsessionid=d85f32715af240ff
ffffffbd877ba64f46fd3 and login with your first name as your username and
your last name as your password.

After you login in simply cut and paste the names above into the search box
to bring up the subject you are reviewing.  Click on the subject's name and
their page will load.  In the box to the right of the page is a review
person link.  After clicking through you will need to check the current
roles boxes and then click continue.  There you will give the subject
numerical ratings (we understand this part is difficult because you don't
have any direct experience with the subject but try to use your best
judgment based on your research) and then write your text review in the box
below.  Click continue and your review will be saved.  The information you
use to write your review is simply based on online research you perform
usually in the form of a Google search.

I have attached the beginning of a style guide for your review as well as
two sample reviews.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I can be
reached on 310 993 9937.  I look forward to reading your samples.

Very truly yours,

Brad Weinstock
