Here you go; let me know if this is okay:

As December descends
spend some time with old friends.
Our winter soiree is the month's best bet
and you'd look quite the Grinch
If you missed out on our fete.

Set to be held at the home of Lisa and Michael Holthouse, our
Rhapsody in White party will serve as a worthy commemoration of
winter's breezy beauty, and every bit as elegant as the falling snow.
And like a Houston snowfall, Rhapsody in White promises to be a rare
treat, with twinkling lights, sugar plum ferries, free-flowing
libations, a stunning array of entertainment, and a truly decadent
selection of haute cuisine.

Don't miss this year's holiday party. As the winter evening turns to morn, Rhapsody
in White is certain to turn white hot.

Barrett,

Can you rework the opening line... take out the reference to tennis.
Focus more on the holidays, celebrating with friends, party, etc.

As the warmer months come to an end and our tennis racquets fall into
disuse as a consequence, it's natural to feel a little bummed out. No
need to fret; simply come to our fete.
