Ellen-

Thanks. I don't have any particular stipulations, although I need to make a few tweaks to the piece here and there. Let me know what your layout person says.

Thanks again,

Barrett Brown

Sirs-

I'd like to submit the attached essay to American Atheist. It's a humorous examination of the modern eschatology movement and the manner in which it's been facilitated by the U.S. media.

I'm a freelance writer based in Brooklyn, and my work has appeared in dozens of publications including National Lampoon, McSweeney's, The Onion A.V. Club, Hustler , Oui, and Jest. My first book, Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny , was released last March to praise from Alan Dershowitz, Rolling Stone, Skeptic, and Air America Radio , among other sources.

I also have a couple of other pieces you might be interested in; let me know if you'd like to take a look.

Thanks,

Barrett Brown

Hello,

I enjoyed the essay very much.  You are incredibly talented.  I rarely get material that is that intelligent, funny, sophisticated and insightful.
The piece is a little long for our publication.  I'll send it to our layout person and see if he can make it work.  In the meantime, what are your terms for publication?

Thanks,

Ellen
