Sam-

Sorry for the delay in responding; I didn't have any pertinent clips on my current laptop and had to wait for an old editor to send me one. This is a trade pub profile piece I did a few years back on a popular Dallas restaurateur/club owner. I've also got another piece I'm waiting on under similar circumstances, so let me know if you'd like to take a look at that one, too.

Thanks,

Barrett Brown

Thanks for getting in touch Barrett. I typically look for folks with business writing backgrounds; we're a trade magazine, but we try to be more of a consumer-type business mag like inc or fast company. Be happy to look at business writing clips if you've got any.

Take care.

Subject: Freelancers for Restaurant Biz?

Hi, Sam-

I wanted to check in and see if Restaurant Biz is taking on writers at the
moment. I'm a full-time freelancer based in Austin, and I have several years
of experience writing restaurant and restaurateur profiles for America
Online's CityGuide, The Onion A.V. Club, Club Systems International, Pizza
Today , and a few regional pubs, as well as a couple of dozen other outlets
unrelated to the hospitality industry. Please let me know if you'd like to
see some samples.

Thanks,

Barrett Brown
