Hello Food freelancers-
I've compiled a somewhat complete master list of restaurants we're looking to cover. Please look it over and let me know what you'd like to write about.
A few notes:
- Restaurants listed as [DONE] have already been turned into me. If you see something on this list that you know you wrote a pick for that isn't marked as [DONE], please let me know.
- Look closely for anything that has your name or initials by it, as these are restaurants you requested that I have not yet received picks for. Some of these were requested a ways back, so if you're no longer interested in covering them, just tell me so I can assign them to someone else. Also, from now on, please try to limit the number of restaurants you request at a time unless you plan to turn them all in in a timely fashion. Some of you have been requesting 10 at a time and then doing them in little handfuls. I'd rather you just ask for the ones you can accomplish in a week or less than keep me hanging on.
- I'm still looking for food features. Remember, these run a little longer and they pay more. Pitch me!
- If you or anyone you know is a photographer or just enjoy taking pictures and seeing them published, please let me know because I sure could use you. Unfortunately, I can't offer payment for your photos, but you'll be earning experience and racking up photo bylines in a weekly publication--that must count for something, right?
- If you're getting this email (out of the approximately 500 people who "auditioned" to be a food writer for us) I must really enjoy your work, so keep it up!
